Livestream Information

So happy you found us. God has given us so many wonderful ways to spread the Gospel. One of those ways is through Livestreaming. We are pleased that we the ability to reach out in this way and share the Gospel with you. There is one thing that we want to avoid with our Livestream. God directs us to rejoice in the ability to meet together in worship as we receive the blessings that come from a Christian family and from the Gospel in Word and Sacraments (Hebrews 11:25, Psalm 122). Because God tells us not to give up meeting together in worship, we feel very strongly that our online worship should not take the place of in-person worship.

Our livestream is intended to be a devotional during the week that adds to your in-person worship, or an option for those who are infirm, sick, ill or traveling, which would make a trip to the Lord’s house difficult or impractical. We encourage all people, especially our members, to hear the Lord’s loving direction to attend in-person worship regularly. For our guests, we invite you to come and hear the love of God first hand, in His house. God bless!!!

Sermon Theme:  It’s Not Easy

Sermon Text: Matthew 16: 21-26

Have you ever been watching TV late at night and seen those Made for TV ads.  Every product they have looks so great.  They do miraculous things.  They are so easy to use.  You have to buy this miraculous product now.

Many people think that our Christian life should be like those products.  Our Christian life should be so easy, miraculous and wonderful that everybody wants to be a Christian.  Is that how your life as a Christian is?   This morning we are reminded that while there are certainly blessings to the Christian life, our life is not as easy as we might want it to be.  In our readings and hymns we will ask, “Do we really want and easy life, or the life of a Christian?”
